Bad Exposure

Bad exposure

After 6 years of Flickr I have deleted my account.
Six great years of sharing stuff, reading, learning, participating in groups and getting to know some great and talented people.

It is time to move forward so I’ve decided to move my portfolio to a blog called “Bad Exposure“.
I’ve been doing it little by little and the first 100 bad exposures are now online.

    Nice shots
I´m also following your new blog (not sure if I express correctly, Maybe is better write “I´m following, too, your new blog”,. Sorry for my english)

    • Your English is perfect my friend and I thank you deeply.

I am a huge fan of your photos. Good luck with the new blog!

    • Thank you so much.
For many months my thoughts were: do I really have any picture that deserves to be highlighted on a new separate blog?

I’m still note sure and I do think about them as bad exposures but… from bad exposure to bad exposure until a good one comes along 🙂

  3. Nice shots. There is no sign of “bad” exposure. Will you still maintain the wordpress blog?

    • Oh yes, yes, Cooking is my passion.

I know that the new blog may seem a bit like I’m trying to stand on my toes creating a “Paulo Pires Photography” kind of thing (these are my personal thoughts and questions). But all the sudden and after leaving Flickr I felt the need for a more personal space. Bad Exposure is the replacement for the Flickr account 🙂

I’ve set the goal for Cooking Film as a space for sharing information about films, developers and cameras, that’s it. I don’t have to worry about the “artistic” quality of the pictures but I do give my best to share all the information about the tech side. Bad Exposure will make me think and look at my pictures in a different way. Maybe Bad Exposure will make me take my own pictures a bit more seriously.

      Thank you again my friend.

      • Thanks. We will keep our eyes on both of your sites.

      • Thank you once again.

  4. Interesting. You say “time to move forward”. Can you say more about why you deleted the Flicker?

    • I was a member of Flickr for 6 years. I’ve learned a lot in that community by looking at the work of talented people and some became friends. I also participated in groups which are a great way to learn and share but the path lead me to smaller communities, the forums.

Over the last 2 years I’ve been more involved in some of those communities and a lot less involved with Flickr.
I’ve started this blog and I’ve also started, with some friends, a Portuguese forum dedicated to analog photography and something had to break.

This last… free terabyte and please forgive me, terrible design was the final drop.
