Beautiful work. I totally question whether the atmosphere you have created in the second close up could be achieved digitally. I am sure others would differ. It has the hand of someone very much in charge of their craft.

    • Thank you Rufus.
On the first one I knew I had a strong back light behind Joana. It was however a simple light reading and I did compensate for that back light and the tube.

The second one is different, it is much darker and yes I did adjust it in Photoshop, making the mid tones levels even darker and a slightly enhance in contrast. However the tip of her nose is purely blown white so if I remember right I gave it +3 on the contrast.

It has no layer masks or dodge/burn tool but it was cleaned using the stamp tool.

This negative is scratched, top to bottom, and you can also see above the left side or her lip, and a bit to the left, a rather messy clone stamping tool work.

Makro Planar, one of my favourite lens to see you using 😉
